News Highlights:
Bishop Tylka will be visiting St. Anthony’s on July 20th and officiating a mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the hall. Please mark your calendars and RSVP to Debbie in the office if you will be attending. We need numbers of participants to further our planning.
Altar Servers- Thank you for all you do! Please be sure to contact Theresa Saldana at the end of each month with the dates you can serve the following month. Our secretary needs to put the schedule in the bulletin. Also, if you have had your First Communion and are interested in becoming a server or you are an adult who has already served, please contact Theresa or the office if you are interested in serving a mass. Thank you.
St. Anthony Logo- Our local embroidery and t-shirt company, Logos Unlimited, has our logo on file. The store is located in the old Community Bank building on Bank Street. For a small cost, parishioners can have any shirt, cap, towel etc. embroidered with the logo or any t-shirt imprinted with the church logo. Help share the good news of the presence of St. Anthony Church in Hoopeston by getting a logo or print today. (You may bring your own item, or you can purchase an article of clothing at her shop).
A New Church Photo Directory is in the works! Victoria Spivey was at the parish hall on June 21st and June 22nd. Many people had their photos taken. There will be more opportunities for photos in the future if you missed this weekend. More info will follow.
Fellowship and breakfast were enjoyed after the Corpus Christi mass on June 22nd.
Welcome to our Catholic family
Welcome to St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish: we are a family of love, service to God, and to one another. We proclaim God’s mission through the Eucharist, which is the source and summit of our Christian life. It is my hope that, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, many will join us as disciples of Jesus who said that, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Thanks to all who have brought life back into St. Anthony’s Parish. We are so fortunate to have so many of you participating and leading us forward. Our church is truly a community of Faith and Love.
Fr. Ignatius Mulenda, Parish Administrator
