St. Anthony’s Announcements
31st Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 3, 2024
Good evening/ Good morning. Thank you for joining us today for this Eucharistic celebration.
Today we celebrate the 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time. The readings begin on p.222.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Dale McCord, Pat and Jerry Northam, Loretta Alt, Jim Benjamin, and Glenna Diskin.
Thank you to everyone who donated treats to Spooktacular and to all who volunteered to help stuff bags and work our booth. More than 800 kids received a treat with a note from St. Anthony’s.
Welcome to our parish family, Joseph Hand, who will be baptized during the 9AM mass on November 3!
There will be no donuts after 9 am mass. The Hand family would like to invite you to celebrate Joseph’s baptism at their home 812 E. Lincoln immediately following mass.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. All registered Hoopeston citizens can vote at our parish hall on Tuesday.
Adult Bible study and OCIA will resume on Wednesday, November 6.
Debbie will not be in the office on Wednesday from 12-4.
If you have ordered a St. Anthony t-shirt, you may pick it up at the hall during office hours on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday from 12-4 or Wednesday from 5-6 during Faith Formation classes.
The special events committee is planning a fellowship night of food, fun, and games following 5:00 PM mass on Saturday, November 9. Chili or soup will be provided. You may bring a side dish or dessert to share. Bring your friends and family to play Bunco or other card games, ping pong and more. Bring your own games if you choose.
A reminder to bring grocery sacks for the Methodist Church mat-making mission for the Homeless. You may put the grocery sacks in the box in the back of the church.
