Fifth Sunday of Easter

Thank you for joining us today for this Eucharistic celebration.
We’d especially like to welcome new parishioners, visitors and guests.
Today we celebrate The Fifth Sunday of Easter. The readings begin on p.150.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased, and for all who are listed in today’s bulletin. This week we especially want to pray for Beverly McIntyre, Jim Brown, Arnie Gonzalez, and Esperanza Resendez.
Congratulations to Jose Lopez who will be baptized after Sunday’s mass. Also next Sunday, May 5, Jose, along with Elias Baldwin, Jose Resendez, Annabella Zarate, Ellie Wernert, and Scarlet Libbra will receive their First Communion. Congratulations to all of you and your families.
A big thank you to everyone who helped with our First Annual St. Anthony’s Spring Cleaning Day on Saturday. Thanks also to the special events committee for the wonderful lunch!
We are trying to locate all church and hall keys that have been distributed to individual parishioners. If you currently are in possession of a key, please contact Debbie to let her know what keys you have. Thank you.
As you are doing your own spring cleaning at home, set aside your items for St. Anthony’s Garage Sale May 31 and June 1. If you bring clothing or bedding, please be sure that they have been laundered. See more information in today’s bulletin about dates and times that items can be brought to the church.
Ladies of the church, please join us on Tuesday Faith Formation will meet on Wed. April 30 at 5 pm.
The next Jesus and the Eucharist will be Mon. April 29th at 6 pm. All are welcome to attend.Tuesday, May 7th at 9:30am at Mary Taylor’s house for cookies, coffee and praying a rosary. Please RSVP with Debbie in the office by Sunday, May 5th.
The Sacrament of First Communion will be held Sunday, May 5 at 10 am mass. There will be a reception following with our normal donut Sunday and cake. This is to celebrate our First Communion and our Confirmation students. Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration to support our youth.
The Special Events committee is participating in the Hoopeston City Wide Garage Sale . Our hourswill be Friday May 31and Sat. June 1. Donations will be accepted starting May 16 & 17 and May 23 & 24 from noon to 6 pm at the Parish Hall. If these times don’t work for anyone, please call the office.
