This Week’s Announcements


  •  Today we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday.   The readings begin on p. 153.

  • Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Jonathan Nichols, Jim Benjamin, Jim Brown, Dolores Forch, Raquel Torres, Jerry and Pat Northam,  Loretta Alt and Bill and Cookie Spivey. 

  • Congratulations to Dan and Madge Silver who celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday, April 23!

  • Congratulations to Father Ted also on April 23 for his 59th Anniversary of Ordination!

  •  Congratulations to Kasen Walwer and Roselyn Acosta who will be baptized on Sunday following the 9 AM mass.

  • Next Sunday, May 4, seven of our young people will receive their First Holy Communion. Congratulations to Jocelyn Rivera, Genesis Meraz, Paola Meraz, Kasen Walwer, Jorge Rivera, Rosabella Rivera, and Roselyn Acosta.  Thank you to their teachers Charlotte Smith and Kim Burch and their parents for preparing them for this sacrament. Please join us for a reception at the hall immediately following Mass.

  • A special thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to help with Spring Cleanup on Saturday.

  • The Parish Council will meet on Thursday, May 1 at 6PM in the hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • We are in need of more help on Thursdays for Adoration. Please contact Debbie in the office if you would be willing to be a Partner with a current adorer.

  • Ticket sales started Mon. March 24 for the 28th annual Schlarman Spring raffle. Don’t miss your chance to win $100,000 as well as 74 other cash prizes. Lisa Lukas will have tickets to purchase. Don’t miss out, there has been one drawing all ready.

  • CCD will be held along with Adult Bible study on Wed. April 30, at 5pm Congratulations to the newly Baptized and Confirmands. A reception will be held on Donut Sunday May 4, after 10 am Mass to celebrate them and the First Communion Youth

  • The men’s Cursillo 1235 (for men 21 years and over) is the weekend of July 25-27, 2025. For more information, go to ChampaignCursillo.com or call Dick Baxley@217- 377-0318.

  • The next Rosary & Coffee will be on Friday May 23 at 9:30 in the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to join us.

  • The Methodist Church has completed their 8th water resistant sleeping mat and are requesting more shopping bags. You may leave them in the back of our church. They are also hosting a spaghetti dinner(free will donation) benefit on May 10 for Mark Schaumburg from 5 to 7.
