St. Anthony’s Announcements
33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 16-17, 2024
Good evening/ Good morning. Thank you for joining us today for this Eucharistic celebration.
Today we celebrate the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time. The readings begin on p.226.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Margaret Feller, John Lukas, Pat and Jerry Northam, Loretta Alt, Jim Benjamin, and Glenna Diskin. If you have a friend or family member that you would like us to pray for during mass, please contact Debbie in the office or Linda Sheppard.
All women of St. Anthony’s are invited to Rosary and Coffee at Pricilla Lobb’s home on Tuesday, November 19 at 9AM. Please contact Debbie in the office Monday afternoon to RSVP and/or get Pricilla’s address.
Albs for Altar Servers and Father Ignatius have been ordered. If you would like to purchase an alb or make a donation towards a purchase, you may contact Debbie in the office or drop a donation in an envelope marked, “Albs” into the basket. Thanks so much.
Our goal for this year’s Annual Diocean Appeal is $17,206. To date, we have received pledges and donations for $8525 which is 50% of our goal. Thank you to all who have pledged or made a donation! If we fall short of our goal, the funds will be taken directly out of St. Anthony’s funds. Please consider helping us reach our goal with your donation. Thank you to Angela Layden who created an ADA goal thermometer for us!
Please be sure to take a bulletin today. A schedule for Advent Masses and Activities is enclosed.
Last weekend the Special Events Committee hosted a game night on Saturday after 5PM mass with chili, taco soup, desserts and potluck from parishioners. There were adult as well as kids games and it was all free! It was a fun night of food and fellowship! The committee is now in the process of planning an all parish Christmas Party! Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 14th for another evening of fun, food, games, and a raffle of some very special items! We hope you’ll plan to join us!
If you would like to enter a loved one in the book of the dead, the book has been placed on the podium to the left of the altar.
There is a group of local seamstresses who are sewing dresses for young girls in Uganda. If you have fabric or gently used girls t-shirts up to size 12, please bring them to Mass and Pat Foster will deliver them to the women.
Students who are receiving their First Communion or Confirmation, please sign the attendance sheet in the back of the church showing you attended Mass.
