New Roof for Parish Hall Update: request in process…

Excerpts from an open Letter to the Parish from Eric Layden, Parish Council President:

The Parish Hall roof is in need of repair.  We have already made multiple repairs to it in recent years and it is leaking again. The Buildings and Grounds committee has recommended to the Parish Council that we stop repairing it and replace it [the roof] entirely.  The Parish Council has made a resolution to replace the existing roof. We are leaning towards a metal roof installed by Diaz Construction. The cost of this project is approximately $40,000.00.  The council chose between three different quotes. Since the roof has been leaking for a while now in multiple places, this project could cost even more than the quote. It just depends on what damage is found when removing the existing roof.

The church does have money for this project and will be receiving permission from the diocese to pull money out of our invested savings.

Update: Letter to the diocese is being sent to request money from St. Anthony investments.
